Golf Outing Registration Deadline October 17th
We have a contract with the Las Vegas National Golf Club (www.lasvegasnational.com).to host our golf event on Thursday, Oct. 27th, with a 9:00am Shotgun start. The price for the event will be $99.00 dollars per player. The course is approx. 4 miles and just a 10 minute drive from the hotel. There is no reason not to play, or any need to bring your clubs, as the golf course has Taylor Made clubs for rent at a cost of $49.00. If you’ll be renting clubs, let us know and please indicate whether you need right-handed or left-handed clubs. Golfers will pay the golf course directly at check in on the day of the tournament. Please indicate if you want to be paired with someone as well. We are working to secure transportation to the course which may require a small additional fee.
We are asking that you not wait until the last minute to register as we need to have a minimum of 40 golfers to move forward with the outing, otherwise we will unfortunately have to cancel the outing. Therefore we need a final headcount by 10/17/2022. I hope you are making plans to attend the 2022 AFNA Conference in Las Vegas. Rich Crawford has put together a wonderful venue and I am certain you will have a great time. DEA Special Agent (Retired), Joe Piersante, will be our guest speaker. Joe was severely injured in a DEA operation in Afghanistan. His story of survival and how he has overcome his injuries are truly inspiring and I’m confident he will be your new hero. Additionally, we will have a private event at the Mob Museum to include drinks and dinner. Please make your arrangements/plans to attend. We look forward to seeing you there.

We have a contract with Las Vegas National Golf Club to host our golf event on Thursday, Oct. 27th, with a 9:00am Shotgun start. The price for the event will be $99.00 dollars per player. It’s a nice golf course, their webpage is lasvegasnational.com. This is a very good rate as most of the other courses we contacted quoted rates ranging from $160-$200. The course is close to the hotel (approx. 10 minutes drive).
In preparation for the tournament we need an initial head count. A number of active agents from the Las Vegas D.O. indicated they wished to play with the AFNA members, and I think this is an opportunity to get more active-duty agents interested in joining AFNA.

The 2022 AFNA National Conference is scheduled for Oct. 25th through Oct. 28th at the Harrah’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The Registration fee includes a Welcome Reception on Oct. 25th, a Continental breakfast on Oct. 26th prior to the General Meeting, the AFNA banquet (buffet dinner) Oct. 27th, and the Hospitality Room throughout the conference. An optional golf outing is being worked on; look for an email with details.
Please remember that you have to both register for the conference AND make your hotel reservation using the links below. I have had several members talk to me about their making reservations which included airfare and hotel and that they received a better rate for the hotel than the AFNA rate. Please note there is a $45 daily resort fee that is waived for AFNA attendees if booked using the below link. This benefit will not be received if you make your hotel reservation through a third party combined with airfare reservations.
The Las Vegas area has a lot to offer beyond the casinos and “The Strip”, and we encourage members to take advantage of the hotel rate being extended for 3 days prior to and 3 days after the conference and enjoy the many things the area has to offer.
The AFNA National Conference Committee along with Western Regional VP Tony Ricevuto and the AFNA Las Vegas Chapter are working hard to make this conference a memorable experience. More to follow.
